ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Small Business Owners-Local entrepreneurs in need of financial
and technical assistance should contact Wheeler Creek CDC to find
out about its Micro-Loan Program. The program provides small business
owners with one-on-one counseling, business education seminars,
group instruction, and financial loans.
NxLevel Program-Entrepreneurs who are looking to start, operate
and/or grow their business are being encouraged to register for
the NxLevel program, which is operated through Howard University.
The 10-week course is held every Wednesday beginning on March
29, 2006 at the Wheeler Creek Community Center.
Healthy Lifestyles-Wheeler Creek CDC has launched a new health
initiative sponsored by the Consumer Health Foundation and is
looking for female heads-of-household interested in changing their
nutritional choices and improving their health. The classes begin

Healthy Lifestyle Calendar
OAI, Inc.-The first graduating class for the construction program
will be held on May 26, 2006 at Wheeler Creek Community Center.
