Wheeler Creek Community Development Corporation Recruiting for New Advisory Board Members

Since Wheeler Creek’s inception, the Board of Directors has played an instrumental role in the development of the programs offered, the strategic planning of the organization, and the economic progress of the community. The volunteer 12-Member Board of Directors provide comprehensive accountability through effective board oversight. As an organization, we require our Directors to be vigilant and exercise care in taking the steps needed to ensure the Wheeler Creek CDC is operated and managed in a manner consistent with its mission, puts the best interests of the organization first and foremost, and remains consistent with all applicable District and federal laws and regulations. Our Board of Directors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. They encourage our staff, our residents as well as our partners that our combined effort is worth the time and attention required to make our community all that it can be.

We are in the process of recruiting for new Advisory Board of Directors Members. We are looking not only for men and women committed to the betterment of our community, we are looking for individuals who can help take us the next level. Expand our visibility in America, know and appreciate the value of increasing corporate donors, and understand the complexities of a mixed-income community.

Individuals interested in joining our Advisory Board of Directors should call Wheeler Creek CDC at (202) 574-1508 for consideration.
